Geoff Berlin

Geoff Berlin is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of carbon+.
Geoff has been doing business in Ukraine since 1992, first running a U.S.-based financial advisory firm to attract capital investments to leading, large-scale investment projects in Ukraine. Since 2005, he has been Managing Director for Central and Eastern Europe of AMB International Finance, LLC, a business advisory firm based in Washington, DC, with a focus on project finance and venture development in emerging markets. With AMB, Geoff launched an initiative to develop Ukraine's first coalbed methane project. Geoff has extensive operational experience in managing entrepreneurial ventures in Ukraine. In 1998, he launched the Hertz Rent A Car and Leasing franchises for Ukraine with capital he raised from private investors. He successfully managed the franchise through the 1998 economic crisis in Ukraine, and ultimately negotiated the sale of the business. A US citizen, Geoff received an MBA degree from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and an AB degree with honors from Dartmouth College.
