(Kiev, 20 August 2007) carbon+ launches project development business in Ukraine's carbon sector.
Geoff Berlin, carbon+ CEO, said, "Ukraine is the next geographic frontier in the carbon sector. Among the world's top-20 countries in terms of greenhouse gas emissions, Ukraine is the most carbon intensive. In this respect, the country holds the potential to have a most significant impact on mitigating the effects of climate change."
carbon+ will initially focus on projects relating to coal mine methane, gas distribution, animal waste management systems, landfill gas capture and industrial efficiency.
"We have a strong team of local managers and partners," Berlin said, "who are committed to taking action on climate change and achieving results."
